"Matt. it sounds like time to change the battery in your HR strap. That's one of the symptoms. It's recommended to change it once a year. It won't be jersey flap. That causes anomolously high (not intermittent or low) HR readings."
"Oh, gear wise I used a standard Ultegra crank (53-39) but put on an 11-28 cassette to make the climbs achievable. A standard and 25 combo would have been to much for me.

Fantasrtic organisation and support before, during and after the ride. Bicycle Network Victoria have put a lot of thought and planning into this event and set the benchmark. The best I've come across by far.

HI, 200km in 7hours is about right for me too, however i am expecting 11 hours for 3PC, most of my rides have been 130 - 170km at the moment. just spending lots of time in the hills doing repeats (ie freeway to bollard, down to devils elbow then back to bollard then back to devile elbow up to Mt Lofty.
In relation to shaving my legs, I'm inclined to leave a comment about the sexual orientation of those that choose to do so, but given the forum, and that I'm unsure who can see my post, I'm a little fearful to do so...
