La Doyenne, one of the five 'Monuments' of the European professional road cycling calendar is coming and LCL will be riding to commemorate what will be the 99th edition. LE CLUB LUG - Tour of Flanders at La Mussette and ends at Red Berry Espresso

March 31, 2013 from 8am to 11am
Cobblestones, rain, rookworst, crazy dutch cycling fans... enough to strike fear into the bravest soul. That is the Vlaanderens mooiste otherwise known as the Tour of Flanders. On April 1st, Le Club Lug will replicate the famous monument in Adelaide. Luckily there is no Koppenberg here but instead we will meander along railway line through the inner southern suburbs (as is Flanders the south of the Netherlands) through various streets such as the famed cobblestones of King William Rd, across…See More

Le Club Lug - Milano / San Remo! at Whitmore Square

March 16, 2013 from 8am to 11am
I know this is late notice but it's been a busy couple of weeks. There will be another ride in three weeks time too. This Sunday is the Milano San Remo "classica di Primavera", so on Saturday it seems fitting that the LCL head out in homage to Gerro who claimed the title last year and Goss before him.Whilst the real race is 298km, this one will only be 40km but will follow the format of heading from the big city of Milan (Adelaide), to the port of Genova (Port Adelaide) and along the coast with…See More

Did you tweed up?

I haven't found any pictures so no idea how successful it was.

I am thinking about H'eroica but need to convince my wife that hills are character building. Thinking about the tandem bur not sure how I can go vintage and practical.

Still, given how everyone has to have the absolutely the latest. I could probably wear a 2009 jersey and be considered old fashioned.
