From City North Messenger of Wednesday 5-Sep-2012 on page 6.
Adelaide: A 61-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly pawned a stolen bike on Tuesday 21-Aug-2012. Police allege the bike, worth about $4,000, was stolen from an Adelaide address on 14-Dec-2011. The Stepney woman was charged with theft and making a false declaration to a second-hand dealer.

Hi Ashleigh,

Today I saw your flyers on bicycle parking around Rundle Mall. (Have you checked AC group Stolen Bikes under topic IF your bike is stolen?) The classic bike might be sold in Norwood where much cycling chic style. I can provide list of 20 bicycle parking locations around The Parade if you ask. However, I would leave off your next flyer the footnote hoping that the woman will contact you. Suspect the woman was not genuine, and gives the impression the bike has gone to northern suburbs.

Cheers, Heather

hi ashleigh.   did i ask you if you want to receive the monthly prospect bug newsletter.   (i coordinate both adelaide bug and prospect bug.)   it contains general cycling info, plus state, adelaide and prospect.    with the cbd only 6km away, many prospect cyclists ride into the city.   the next issue will contain a stolen bike report for daniel.    could do the same for you.    cheers, heather

Hi Ashleigh, Welcome to Adelaide BUG but sorry about the circumstances. There are previous discussions about stolen bikes and hints on seeking. Recommend that you search on 'stolen' in the box  in the top right hand corner of an AC screen. Cheers, Heather
