Reach Out M44

My fluro backpack cover is a distraction for bus drivers. They love to get as close as they can to me to have a good look.

Am familiar with the term "overtaking without due care". Do not know the related ARR. The Driver's Handbook, published by State Govt, recommends that drivers leave a minimum of one metre when overtaking a cyclist. Austroads 2009 recommends that large vehicles like trucks (omitted public bus) leave a safe distance when overtaking cyclists. In a 60km/h zone this is 1.0 metre.

You can report careless public bus driving via http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/contacts-links/email-us Buses have exterior filming which is overwritten in 2 weeks. However, you might have enough photographic evidence. If you get the bus number and not the rego, check here http://www.busaustralia.com/fleetlists/index-sa.php
