That looks great. I had one similar to this one ( mine was a Raleigh ) when I lived and worked in Malaysia in the 1960s. It had a three speed Sturmey Archer rear hub and rod operated brakes. I pranged it at about 50 kph after being towed to that speed behind a motorbike.  It did get rebuilt. My hide needed recovering also !

@ Lorraine, Unfortunately this is not my dads actual bike, Some other lucky rider owns this machine. I suspect that  Dads bike looked just like this one a long long time ago though...
