BMW Sub 1 Metre Club

The white knuckle ride between the intersections of Daws/Oakland Rds and Marion Rd to the relative safety of the start of the bike lane out the front of Hamilton High. Marion Road 4.30 on a Friday night. Hell Zone for cyclists.

Trevor, my impression is that the driver is cutting you off, or does that come under 'overtaking without due care'? You can verify the ARR at http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/sa/consol_reg/arr210.
If you have grounds to report to police Traffic Watch on 131 444 (refer officer to the ARR section), the rego is clear and your bicycle shadow is obvious.

P.S. I do not actually like to inconsiderate drivers, but like that you are recording them. Perhaps one day your photos can be used to remind authorities that cyclists need better infrastructure and conditions.

I hate that intersection, all the boy racers taking the left hand lane trying to beat the cars at the light before having to merge at Hamilton High.

This is a very tight part of Marion Rd...nasty...to veer off the thread here, I find Pier St Brighton and having to 'merge' into traffic and 'take my place' amongst the cars at roundabouts very risky. Some cars let you in, others don't!!!

The only positive about Marion Rd is the 'draft' effect of the sheer volume of cars passing you. Until you have to slow for a car that wants to go to the pub/ supermarket/ Harvey Norman/ side road/ service stations etc
