Trevor, you have a clear photo of this breach of Australian Road Rules s. 153 quoted at http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/sa/consol_reg/arr210/s153.html Only public transport buses are permitted to stop in bicycle lanes, and then only temporarily to pick up or set down passengers.

You have the photographic evidence, reckon you could read the rego plate in an enlarged photo, and the company has kindly provided the phone number for you to complain to the company, and police traffic watch on 131 444. Think the current fine is around $250.

You could even let the bus company know that the 'professional' driver's disrespect for ARR and cyclist safety has been noted on AC, and provide the link. Let AC know the outcome.

This is almost convincing me to buy a GoPro! I am so sick of public buses parking with their hazards lights on on Magill Rd in the mornings. Great work Trevor.

Kara, this is photo of a bus that is commercial rather than public transport. So breaches ARR s. 153.
Re a public bus, you need to look at ARR s. 153, s. 158 and particularly s. 187 and words "dropping off or picking up, passengers" so public buses still not permitted to PARK in bicycle lanes.
