The Muddies

A road cycling group based in the southern suburbs. Social/training rides will be held on alternate Saturday mornings  starting from various locations, see the "Events" section of this site for details of the next ride.

All riders with sufficient fitness to tackle the undulations and hills of the Fleurieu peninsula and Adelaide hills are welcome.

Riders ride at their own risk of injury or bicycle damage and are strongly advised to have some form of cycle specific insurance.

A tail end Charlie will usually be appointed on each ride to ensure no one gets left behind.

I was going to blame the cake for bonking on Woodlot Road

Did you add something to the cake? LOL

It was the cake.

Well done to the Muddies today - Lots of them appearing in the top 10 of the Livestrong Loop - must have been the training from the Birthday ride

Comment by Norm on October 7, 2012 at 15:48 here is the one I did today.  It is the same route except it turns right and heads to Bradbury and Algate Valley Road.  Adds about 15km to the trip.

Dropping down in to Belair NP is good but take it easy, it gets very steep at the bottom and has a sharp U-turn.  Once on the valley floor it is easy going an then a nice quiet climb out past the duck pond.

I use that path for some climb training, the other one I use just heads north and pops out of the NP about 1/2 along Sheoak, so still plenty of climbing.  :-)

No takers to ride to Livestrong tomorrow?

Great Route - have often though it would be a good idea to ride through Belair NP instead of Upper Sturt Road
