Last week I climbed tourmalet, stelvio, Alpe d'huez, then the alarm went off and I realized I was late for work.

The last few weekends I've tried to string a few of the climbs together. So far the most I have managed is eight which took me three hours. I can't even begin to imagine what the legs are going to feel like going up the last couple. Putting Woodland Way last is just plain sadistic! Does getting off and walking/crawling count?

Nice one DD - I think you speak for all of us on both accounts!

@Trent - You should head out with Richard Stevens and me - we have very similar fitness / ability levels!  Do Muddies ride then deviate off with us to recce some of the Dirty Dozen rides...we're just going to make it up as we go.  You can drive down to my place first if easier.

My dream training plan would be to be in the French riding up Alpe d'Huez, Glandon, Croix de Fer and the Galibier for a few weeks while watching some pro-peleton bike porn.

My actual training plan is to take a spoonful of Jedi cement on the day....
