Bought a new smart phone and rode this morning with Strava running.

A couple of things, I can't log on with my usual profile, i keep getting a message "an account already exists with this email address"

How do I upload it to the web or does that happen automatically. It's online but I don't know how

Not that its really important but I PB'd cement hill but it thinks I'm a different Patrick O'Kane.

I'm not likely to use the app much, will probably stick to the Garmin but I would like to be able tu use it and associate with my current profile.

This mornings ride. Beat Baron on cement hill by 1 second and i was on a recovery ride. Must have been Jim Woods coffee that did it :)

It is good coffee..  had my best time up Flagstaff Hill after a cup!

Sounds like you may have mixed up your password Pat. I have the app associated with my profile on an android phone and it appears to work fine, although havent used it to log a ride. Just make sure that you log in with your normal profile and password, dont try and create a new one for the phone.

I Tried to log on but it wouldn't let me, may have spelt email address wrong, II'llll try logging out and back in again.

I had it working on my HTC before I lost it. Make sure you're entering current login details as opposed to trying to create a new account. It uploads automatically when you end the ride

OK. Now logged in with my usual profile. Might have to ride the hill again :) or not, coffee and cake sounds better.

Does the ride upload automatically. It seems that it did but I don't know whether it did that when i got home and connected to my WiFi or it did it by magic via Optus.

My smart phone is apparently a lot smarter than me.

When I ran it on my new iPhone it just found me and before I knew it my ride was up and I didn't even realise. I use the log-in by Facebook profile which might have been already running. I am going to stick to the Garmin but it's OK for commutes and other incidental rides.

I logged in via Facebook and I think that was the problem I use a different email addy on FB to my usual email. It's all too clever for me but it worked
