Do you give Kudos? Do you give it easily or what makes someone's ride Kudos-able? Distance, suffer level, rain, cold, gold medals, KOMs or QOMs...

Sometimes I get a kudos and I wish they didn't.. it wasn't that good a ride but maybe what qualifies kudos to them is a bludge to me.

I wished they used chapeau not kudos though...

Pretty much anything Steve Ellison does deserves Kudos :-)

sometimes depends on a persons ride, sometimes depends on other factors. eg if it's a crappy day and i've chosen to stay inside while someone has braved the elements and got out there..   deserves kudos in my opinion! :)

usually for PRs....or bravery weather wise.

Good topic, I've been wondering the same. I think Kudos needs to be earned somehow, some rides i get kudos for a pootle around the block. i reckon it needs to be long distance, steep hills, crap weather, fast pace or some other worthy marker to earn the coveted Kudos.

Yep - that summary mirrors my thoughts.

what do the "kudos" actually get you? or r they just a feel good thing?

<kudos>

Generally, if you're doing well and getting PRs I'll give you one or if you do an Ellison-esque ride you'll get one. If we've got newer riders I'll encourage them when they ride with a kudos.

Thanks for my Kudos yesterday ... I like how it makes you feel someone has taken an interest in your ride.

I've only given Kudos a couple of times - mainly because it's a rare thing for me to use the Strava website ... I upload automatically from my iPhone.

That's because you got up at 5am (and I didn't), in the cold (I was warm) and slugged it up to My Lofty. You get kudos, chapeau and the feeling of smugness all day long!

An interesting topic Gus. There definitely some Kudos-bombers out there, but it does no harm. Anything that can encourages riding (safely) is good in my book.
bum off th couch deserves kudos...
