Strava help video

Hi Strava users, I have just put up a video on how to merge or combine  two or more "broken" rides together if you loose satellite reception, or your device battery goes flat, or you accidentally switch you device off half way through a ride and…Continue

Commuter spam

I just joined the AC Strava group but I'm a bit worried that I'll be spamming the page with my twice daily commutes. Is anyone opposed to that or does it not really matter? I just wanted to see how I was doing Vuelta Skelta wise against compared to…Continue

Rapha Rising: La Centième, anyone planning pull it off in Adelaide?

OK I know in theory all I have to do is thirty-two and half repeats of Willunga in the week to pull off the 7235m of elevation gain, but that might get a tad repetitive. Anyone got a better strategy to pull it off while remaining sane?Continue

Dodgy KOM

Started by Christo. Last reply by Christo Jun 21, 2013. 3 Replies

Got a KOM today for a segment I don't think I even rode. Is it possible to get rid of it without losing the entire ride? There's only one other rider on the leader board but it seems pretty shitty to leave my name up there.

I hope this is the right forum to post this.

I have a Garmin Edge 810. On nearly every ride it looses satellite reception 2 or 3 times . I also run "Ride With GPS" (a great app)  on my Android phone  stuffed in my back pocket which never looses satellite reception .

If I didn't run "Ride With GPS" I would not be able to save a complete and accurate ride and upload to Strava.

I have done a factory reset a few times and updated the latest firmware a few times but it still looses satellite reception.

Does anyone know why my Garmin is loosing satellite reception ?

Thanks for any help.

The segment comparison tool is available in Strava again and looks a lot nicer than before. Premium users can choose how many people to compare against, free users just see themselves and the KOM/ QOM as far as I know.

Comment from Strava....

Hello everyone,

One of our most frequently requested features is now live!
Effort Comparison on Strava Segments represents the integration of the RaceShape tool into the Strava website. We think it's going to be a new dimension of comparative analysis that makes times on a leaderboard feel like so much more than just a collection of digits.
You can access the Compare feature from any Segment page or Segment detail page.
For Free users, you will be compared to the KOM or QOM, or if you are the current KOM/QOM to the second place ranking. For Premium users, you will be able to add and subtract any number of other efforts from the Leaderboard to compare against your own.

DC Rainmaker says: Garmin announces automatic sync with Strava, MapMyFitness and Endomondo! Yup, as of now you can automatically sync your rides and runs straight from Garmin Connect to Strava, no cables required! Here's the skinny:

Could you please support this idea in strava so they can get it implemented...

Got a heart rate reading and "Suffer" score on my ride today, and was not wearing a HR monitor. Is this a Strava or Garmin error ? ( I have a HR monitor, but never wear it.)

Anyone have this issue? When I upload, usually a few rides at a time the screen I get after selecting the rides allows me to change the name, bike etc...but it automatically uploads without me being able to save the changes. I then have to go into each and every activity to change, add bikes etc. how can I stop the auto upload so I can bulk edit?

Oh yeah, right in front of my fricken eyes. I still thought you could convert someone else's ride. Thanks...
