I just joined the AC Strava group but I'm a bit worried that I'll be spamming the page with my twice daily commutes. Is anyone opposed to that or does it not really matter? I just wanted to see how I was doing Vuelta Skelta wise against compared to…Continue

Rapha Rising: La Centième, anyone planning pull it off in Adelaide?

Started by Bert Olio. Last reply by Bert Olio Jul 16, 2013. 7 Replies

OK I know in theory all I have to do is thirty-two and half repeats of Willunga in the week to pull off the 7235m of elevation gain, but that might get a tad repetitive. Anyone got a better strategy to pull it off while remaining sane?Continue

Dodgy KOM

Started by Christo. Last reply by Christo Jun 21, 2013. 3 Replies

Got a KOM today for a segment I don't think I even rode. Is it possible to get rid of it without losing the entire ride? There's only one other rider on the leader board but it seems pretty shitty to leave my name up there.

@scott, if you only have one ride it will automatically upload, more than 1 than you manually have to select which rides to upload, therefore click " manually upload"

I went to upload my commute rides for the day and it only shows manual upload button does anyone know what this means I have never had it come up before

Comment by Troy Collett on January 26, 2014 at 22:34

yeah I have ridden it, just cant get the sliders to move the way I want

Assuming you've actually ridden the segment Troy, open the ride, then click the spanner...  there's a 'create segment' option. Follow the instructions and use the sliders to highlight your segment. Save and enjoy!

any idea how I go about creating a new segment? I would like to create a segment from Aldinga beach road to quinliven road but have had no luck

I always had it set as private and request to follow, but I think they can still see your last ride.  I don't start or stop the garmin near home just in case.

Comment by Terry C on November 16, 2013 at 8:32

Have had the same situation. One local who was following me was a runner and no cycling, so have changed my preferences to "Request."

Comment by Paul Mc on November 16, 2013 at 6:26

What is it with all these random people trying to follow you on strava?  Are they trying to get more kudos by having more friends?  I have had a few overseas requests which I ignore but now I got a local person who has only done one ride and I have no idea who he is and he isnt following anyone else or being followed by anyone.  Its all very weird are they hoping to case where you live and your movements?
