My wind trainer sounds like a jumbo taking off when mashing in the big dog. To amplify my noise-induced hearing loss I plug myself into my MP3 player. That and the pounding in my head from my anerobic-threshold heartbeat normally drowns out the noise of the trainer.
I typically listen to ~120 BPM music, like Jamiroquai, as it is slower than my heartrate, but faster than my cadence, does that sound scientific or twatwaffle?
So does music help your training, and what sort of music, or doesn't it matter?
ps. I see pros on the trainer with earphones, so if I do it I will definately go faster!
This is a Swedish band taking the p out of yank music, it really gets you pedalling though.
I have the whole album on the ipod, yeah sad I know.
I vary a lot, sometimes I put in on Random Play and go hell for leather for one song, rest for the next song. It's a bugger when a Pink Floyd opus comes on and I have to thrash it out for 8mins +
Usually I listen to Oasis, Pearl Jam or Arctic Monkeys on the trainer.
