Comment by Shav Bird on May 3, 2013 at 0:06 Hey guys just thought id join this group, and say hi. Im keen for Tuesday night rides straight after work. I dont get much time to ride during the week and if I do a Tuesday night is usually the only opportunity to get out for a bit. I also like flat fast roads as I enjoy a semi tt style ride with a few small hills thrown in. hoping to join one of these rides soon and make it a regular thing.

Just wondering if this is still happening and if its open to everyone? Whereabouts do you ride after departing Scuzzi?

Comment by Lombardo on November 27, 2012 at 9:25 Hi,
I'm thinking of giving this ride a go. Are the starting times still as indicated by Torsten, e.g. the first group leaving at 5.55pm, etc.?
Comment by Torsten Bunge on May 19, 2012 at 19:40 @ Scott: Just show up at Scuzzis before 6 - first group leaves at about 5:55 & averages about 32kph, 2nd group about 15mins later - ave 35-40kph, then another 15 min break to the fast group that ave well over 40. I started riding the group about 12 months ago & found it very welcoming with many sharing group ride tips for a novice.
Comment by Scott Doherty on May 16, 2012 at 17:00 I'm not a member of this group but i've ridden amongst you guys a few times when you've caught me trundling down port road. Last night I rode with a group of about 10-15 blokes doing between 35-40 kmh. I feel kinda bad joining the back of these groups so i usually jump on the front and pull for a while to at least show I'm not a cling on pilot fish. No one told me to 'f-off' and i think i conformed with the group pretty well. Does one just show up at scuzzi and join in? I tried the URL link but no dice. cheers
A agree with Slammin. Why have the 3 groups if guys just stuff a good ride by joining a group that is too slow for them... I thought it was meant to be a group ride until the final straight and then sprint to the big roundabout. Safety begins to go down when guys are forced to ride at their limit to stay with a group because one or two guys push the envelope. Sugar.
