And don't give me nice words like ''very'' good.. Put a number on it-How many victories will Sagan get this year?and a supplementary question:How many for Cav?Sagan is already on 3 victories, and has all 4 of Cannondale's podium spots for the year. Cav has 6 wins already, and should have a monster year with the power of OPQ behind him (or in front of him as the case may be)I'll use Cycling Quotient  as the arbiter of bragging rights at the…Continue

I enjoyed this Cycling Central blog by Tom Palmer about what it's really like in a road race sprint finish. Wild crazy stuff that I expect a few of you Crit racers would appreciate.

Did anyone else see on Cycling Central that Sagan and Kittelare racing in the Noosa Criterium next weekend?

Lock up your daughters.

How good was last night's Giro di Lombardia. Top quality entertainment to wrap up the season in Europe.

Streaming live on SBS. It is rather wet. Not sure how cold though. Looks ideal for a euro hard man.

Weather reports are predicting torrential rain on the course in Tuscany. Can Gilbert keep it for another year (doubtful), is it a sprinter's course (no), will Sagan top off an excellent year?

Marianne Vos won again overnight. She is truly one of cycling's greatest rider, if not the best--men or women.

Whoever wins world cycling is in for a change as the UK's Brian Cookson takes over the presidency.

Interesting times ahead.

For Aussie, I'd think our chances are Porte or Porte. I'd love to see him going shoulder to shoulder with Froome on the last climb.

You're right that the favorites are kept on a short leash in one-day races, but this is going to be a lot of tough climbing and I reckon it'll be simply who has the best legs.

think Martin from Wiggins and cancellara for the TT

RR i think will throw up a surprise. Not sure from who but i think Froome will be really closely marked (to be expected). Phil Gil is in a bit of decent form and has target this race, course suits him. Valverde is riding well. Not much from an Aussie perspective to get overly excited about though, but we could fly under the radar. could Cuddles do it again?

So people - Road world champs are comin' up. The toughest parcours for 30 years they say. Who is going to win and why?

Could it be a British double with Wiggo for the TT and Froomie AKA 'Kryton', in the road race?
