Stuart O'Grady announces his retirement. All going well, he's planning to hang up the bike after the 2014 TdF.

I've got an answer to my own question (Why do Dauphine stages end earlier in the day to TDF stages? In July I'm sitting up to 1am but this week it's all over by 10.30pm?).

It's because of TV broadcast times in France and needing to accommodate the tennis at Roland Garras that is being played concurrently. Bummer, because earlier TdF stages would be nice.

Not sure I believe one, but - according to Robert Millar - Sky's secret plan for the TdF is Porte:

Tactics may well be deployed in the race for yellow. The thinking goes that Froome and Contador will be watching each other that closely that Richie Porte could sneak off up the road and gain enough advantage to withstand any attacks from either of the two named leaders.

I saw it over the weekend too. The other tweets CT posted were pretty unified about how they felt about Di Luca.

Nibali's always been an ok time trialer. He usually isn't as good as Wiggins, but he only lost 2 minutes to him in the final TT at the Tour last year, and has done well in shorter TTs previously too. Eg, he lost only 20 seconds to Cancellara in the TT at the 2012  Tirreno-Adriatico.

Back to Di Luca, I had to laugh when I saw this (via Cyclingtips)

Yep, but when great climbers start winning TT's... just sayin' :)

He's always been a good descender

Yes, I thought that too about a recent retiree. There have always been suspicions about him.

Nibali's in great form, but he's always been an exceptional climber and if you said before the Giro he'd be leading it now I don't think anyone would be surprised. Also, I don't think you can dope descending ability, and he's done as much damage on the downhills as the climbs.

I think Di Luca only signed up for Vini a few days before the Giro, perhaps he was without a team and didnt think much about doping at the time..... Schmuck.

Now, how about Nibali's form, doped??

And it wasn't Levi Leipheimer....
