This is a TRAINING ride for those who like to push themselves and improve their average speed on the 48km ride from Glenelg to Outer Harbor and back to Glenelg.

  • Medium pace group (avg. 30-34kph) starts at 6:45pm
  • Faster pace group (avg. 34-39kph) starting at 7:00pm
  • Riders who prefer to pootle along under this speed are welcome and should give every consideration to double-back to meet with the main group as they loop back from Outer Harbor or meet back at La Musette at Glenelg if the pace on the night is too quick for them.
  • There is typically a tailwind leg out and a headwind leg back (depending on weather conditions.) If the southerly is blowing, save some legs for the headwind ride back to La Musette.
  • The last rider to return will be appointed Tail End Charlie.
  • Strava Up! - we normally contest the 700m Outer Harbor sprint to the roundabout and the Mt Patawolonga climb sprint.

This is not an organised event, just a regular weekly meeting point for those who wish to ride on a Thursday night flat ride

This is not a warm-fuzzy social ride. We train first and chat later at La Musette. If attending, you accept that this is the expectation and ride accordingly.

It's a secret AVO training ride. I've heard mellow pace with some undulations.  :P  Rest up Big Dog...or is it the Good Doctor?  bring us back some MacDonalds vouchers!! :D

I'm away for work however I rode 45 mins on a spin bike this morning and the back was OKish. I'll be on for next Thursday.

What is the race or ride on stuarday that a few are saving their legs for?
