All went well with new PACC riders Sarah and Virginia picking up some great tips from Coach Neil. Kellie, Carly and Bec all on spanking new bikes.A few soft fall crashes on the mulch hill but nothing major, Bec's elation at making it to the top of the mulch hill was a highlight but I didn't have the video running then! Comment by Michelle Crick on June 9, 2013 at 16:18 Fantastic weekend again by PACC for the CX national champs. Big thanks to PACC for all the hard work and Focus for supporting the little crossers. Kids loved it as always, I'm a bit sore after a little crash but was great!

Comment by Michelle Crick on May 26, 2013 at 12:31 Who entering the National Cyclo cross series? I can't decide what to do. I have only just got the CX bike and not sure how my skills will match up, if at all.
It will also be a long day for the kids to hang around between little crossers and then to watch the main event too.
I know women are encouraged to enter the main event but I don't want to be last person on the course either!
Comment by Michelle Crick on May 21, 2013 at 10:16 I hear you Matt, thankfully ours are a bit bigger now but now we bring their bikes too :-)
You could always drop them off, then go park and you can warm up riding over the bridge :-)
Comment by Gemma K on May 20, 2013 at 17:10 there are a zillion carparks at ESTA park only a few minutes pleasant walk over the bridges.
Comment by Gus K on May 20, 2013 at 16:10 The parking is tight when there there is soccer across the road. Later in the morning it cleared.
I should add that the only problem with that venue is the lack or car parking. I rode to the race so it didn't bother me, but my wife ended up parking in the parklands off the road at the top of the course near west tce and risked a $122 fine in doing so - which is why I had to leave quickly after the race. It's a pity cos its a great place otherwise.
Bugger, I've always had to get going pretty quickly after the race, didn't know there was free beer! Agreed it was a great event, and the course was fun (apart from the tricky bit at the bottom end of the course which cause some carnage on the first lap of b grade). If there was a race every week I reckon I'd do it, so much fun!
