State Records of South Australia, Government Record Group 5/2 - File 369/1903 Police Commissioner's Office - "Twelve Bicycles for the Police Department, Requesting -"

Attached is the specification for police bicycles as put out to tender in 1903.  The contract was awarded to Messrs. Lob & Son, 129 Rundle Street.

This is likely to excite others more than it did me...enjoy :)

Travis - that's a brilliant piece of sluething. May I ask, are you researching bicycles purely as a dilletantte ( or do you find these treasures simply "en passant" while seeking information on other subjects ...? BF / who spent a fruitless few hours recently with the Advertiser of 1917, w/o any mention of Bicycles..
