Just in case anyone is following the 'Dirty Dozen' group, and has not seen the recent new discussion, Phil Crick's video of the event is now available for your viewing pleasure - and it's great!    http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/forum/topics/dirty-dozen-video

I can live with "The Gillotine".  One less thing to worry about.  Haha!

I second "The Gillotine'. Anyone out riding it tomorrow? Contemplating preceding it with the Triple Treat in the morning.

I loved the Adam's suggestion of "The Guillotine" for the Gill Tce extension.

Agree with all you said below Rob.

If numbers blow out by lots more, then I'd rethink the multiple groups option.  But I think half the fun is having a big rolling mass of cyclists enjoying the challenge, meeting new people, having a bit of fun, etc.  That is how it is traditionally done in Pittsburgh (if I dare put us in such revered company!).

Proof should be up to the individual to prove. Strava is easiest but any other GPS or photo at the top of each climb could also be used.

Yeah I'm keen for a postal vote. Yes its possible to fit it in afterwards but I wasn't in much of a state to do anything after last years ride!

Are you concerned with the connection of the freeway bike path start to bottom of Gill terrace? The small sidewalk shuffle may actually have "thinning" effect required to get everyone up the Gill terrace extension. I think making this optional is an acceptable solution and all the organization required (other than mentioning this in the riders brief)

The Melbourne DD obviously gave out maps and people did it in their own groups and pace to deal with numbers. I could possibly photocopy a small number of maps for those who wish to lead a smaller group but I would hope you can still keep 1 or 2 larger clusters that regroup at each climb. It would be wise to advise against smaller groups leaving within 10 minutes before or after the main group to avoid up / back conflicts.
