Well today was the first Triathlon for the season. I've really been looking forward to getting the Slice out for a race since the Masters Games Duathlon.

I thought my last hit out was good, but as it came after a hard 5Km it didn't give me a true indication of what might happen during a tri.

Today with some wind about (NE I think) I managed an average speed of 40Km/Hr (bang on) for the 20Km course.

The standard tri course at West Lakes is out of transition (time is started as you run out of T1) north on Brebner Drv, West on West Lakes Blvd, left onto Military Rd, Left onto Trimmer Prd and left onto Sportsmans Drv and then back onto Brebner Drv 3 times.

Thought I could have gone harder, if there wasn't a 5km run to follow and the swim prior always has the heart rate going a million miles an hour so I don't settle down until lap 2 really.

I'll say it again I love this bike (the Slice). Looking forward to doing a stand alone TT. Perhaps the next PACC TT.

Nice work!  Considering how quick you did the 20km in the middle of a tri, I am keen to see how fast you can do a stand alone TT. You could probably crack the 25 minute barrier on the PACC course :)

Yeah I'm really interested now. I would like to see what time I could do when pushing hard the whole way. Hopefully the next TT.
