Well today was the first Triathlon for the season. I've really been looking forward to getting the Slice out for a race since the Masters Games Duathlon. I thought my last hit out was good, but as it…Continue

Better late than never.....State TT champs were held on the 5th of May, both Elite and Masters grades. Conditions were a bit different, as the wind was blowing in the opposite direction to normal! This resulted in a head wind on the way out, but a nice tail wind on the way back in....except for the final km, where a bit of a curve in the course turned the riders straight back into the head wind! The distance was also about 700m longer than previously, which gave seemingly slower times for pretty much everbody.

My little group of 3 riders in MAS1 had an interesting battle. We finished within 28 seconds of each other, which for me was a good result :)

I picked up a brand new with tags skinsuit off Gumtree for $50, it still had the price on the tag of $235, its probably a half size too small but as the my weight keeps dropping it should be perfect in a couple more months, Nice win.

Now for an aero helmet and visor.

No catch!   This is what you should really pay for cycling clothes.  Not the insidious prices through normal channels.  Bear in mind these are from China, postage takes a while.   I've been buying gear from these sorts of sites for years and I probably get a year to two out of the shorts (I ride around 1000 kms per month, give or take).  Had a couple zippers fail on the jerseys but they're easy to repair.   I've made a close comparison to bike shop gear and I see little in it.  Perhaps this just highlights how much we're all being ripped off by the cycling clothing industry.

they're called skinsuits.  Your club should be able to arrange.

Does anyone know where to buy a time trial suit, I have only seen one in a shop so far, it was okay but was wondering if there is any other options.  I asked a couple of shops without much luck.
