Hi guys & girls,

Fridays almost here, and hopefully you are all fit and ready for the BIG event.

Did anyone want to try and catch up at the start at Norwood ?

If this is your first time, you will be amazed at just how many people / bikes there actually are, and the Parade will fill up fast.

Last year I arrived at 5.15am and found an easy car park just a couple of minutes away. By 5.45am, there was no hope of a car park...

If you want to meet up we could pick a spot near the registration tent, but we would want to be moving into the pack by 6am at the latest, or else you'll end up squeezed onto the right hand lane of the Parade.  ( This would be a mistake, as you have to filter (very slowly) back across the road to pass through the micro chip readers.)

Anyway, I hope to get to the Parade between 5.15 and 5.50. Hope to see you there !

Clive only requirement for goodies is to have the wrist band you get when handing in your waiver form (reminder to all not to forget) If you have signed on after 7 Nov jerseys will not be here until after the event, thus meaning it is not a requirement, unlike the TDU ride.

Just be aware, it's my understanding that all riders are required to wear the RLC jersey. Exceptions are sometimes given to teams that have made the appropriate application, these exceptions are most likely to be given to teams that are associated with cancer charities, advocacy etc. I've never heard of anybody having problems because they are not wearing the RLC jersey but this is the first time that riders have had to register on the day. If you are CVSA member, CVSA encourage you to wear their jersey and raise awareness of the group, it's also much easier to spot the distinctive yellow and black amongst the sea of blue and white.
