There is a blogger called Cycling Maven (some might say poor man's Cycling Tips) but his post is nice and quite relevant.Luckily for us in Adelaide we don't have the situation highlighted below.

Riding Early

Not too early though. I have mates who are on the bike by 4:30am. Thats fucked up! You may as well not even go to bed from the night before and just sit there on the couch in your lycra – twiddling your thumbs.

It’s also a little wrong when you pass the local nightclub and all the twenty something’s are spilling out into the street, hurling abuse and stomach contents at you as you fly by in transit to the posse’. They may be getting laid but I’m getting strong on the bike darn it!

It may be a little f..... up but it works for me. Usually by the time I get home the wife and kids are either still in bed or just getting up. As quoted having a guilt free day of eating is great - yum (sorry zz)

Getting laid or getting strong?

mmmm let me think.

Got it.

I used to early ride on a Sunday morning in Sydney with a couple of guys around Glebe, to Sydney Harbour, around the Opera House and up to Darlinghurst via Kings Cross where there was a lot of glass, taxis stopping suddenly to pick up girls in short skirts carrying their strapy shoes - we felt very out of place.
Shoulda stayed out of the gutter.

I was trying to remember where we had coffee with the $300k of bikes around us. Coluzzi Bar. That's one huge Sunday group ride
