Wooly saddle covers - made in A/a ! ( Yankalilla, to be precise)

I noticed a stall at Port Adelaide market lately, selling locally made sheepskin products, among them a wool seat cover. I haven't seen these for a long while, tho there seem to be some dubious quality  cheapies on the www. The jovial owner here sells his quality products retail for $30.00, unpadded, in white only at the moment, but he is pleased to consider particular requirements. He agreed with my suggestion that it was hard to make a living in the hand made market, what with cheap imports etc., but he is trying to keep local manufacture alive  Contact : Graeme & Jenni Spencer <huggysuggs@hotmail.com> mob : 0408 809 715

BTW for those who don't know : these are great in both winter & summer; and with the current vogue for retro and fixed gear, could be a very useful addition to your bike

fwiw : I attach a picture of our own hand-sewn "extreme" versions - those in Pt Adel are considerably more restrained ...

Just like riding a sheep .. 8~)
I swear by the wool seat covers , I've used them on my postie scooter for years ,very comfortable . Australia Post has now changed to artifical wool (nylon) versions and they are terrible ,,more comfotable with it in the rubbish bin ..
