The weather today made me think that it would only be the hard core cyclists that set out from home in the rain knowing the whole ride was likely to be in the rain.

Is there a line between hard core and stupid?

If you cycled today what would it take to make you abandon a ride?

I must admit I don't even know where Belgium is :-)

Excellent. What part of Tassie ?

Near Cradle Mountain.

Ah you're making me jealous !

commuter ride...must do in any weather....rain is much better than 40 degree day....

Ditto.  Should have taken the goretex but I didn't realise it was going to drizzle continuously on the way home.

Another ditto, daily commute.

Ride in was fresh, and the start for home seemed promising, so extended out for a loop down to Brighton ~ only to get soaked 5k's from home. Sprint intervals keep you warm :-)

Give me 40 degrees any day

commute ride...missed the worst of the rain.

I did take the soft option on Wednesday night and drove a car home from work due to the weather and a does of the man flu!

@ Don Plush

ditto. commute today, hubby gave me a lift home on Wednesday.

Ride daily regardless of the weather!

Layer up and pedal and as Rob said wet is better than 40degree days...

Hail can be a problem though when the head gets cold as the vents fill with hail stones...Have to pull over and shake the lid!

YES, I rode today. This morning was great, a light tail wind, cold but not stupid cold. 8 hrs later it was just crapola with a side order of RAINNNN. Sopping wet is a term that best described my state. OH, and I nearly got wipe out twice by freaked out drivers even with my blinding head light on flashing.
