Feel free to checkout the routes posted previously on the Gully Grinders Sunday rides (just look up past events), and of course feel free to come join us on our rides through the hills :-)

Training for what exactly?

You could head to Lobethal which gives you access to plenty more climbing opportunities or head across to Mylor - lots of demanding climbs around there coupled with very pretty roads...

If you're looking for climbing practice you could do worse than a Montacute, Corkscrew, Cherryville, Ashton to Lofty run. Nice combo of short steep ones (Corkscrew & Cherryville) with some more sustained climbing in between.

I've heard of that killa training loop, but no-one has survived to talk about it :-)

I see what you did there...I liked it.

A loop which included each of the Lynton Path and Old Norton Summit Rd could be a real killa.  Each of those hills has at least one cardiac-related cyclist fatality against it.

(Black humour)

Could head south...Old Willy, Wickam, St Johns, Bains, Shepards Hill, Education, Chandlers

plenty down that way...

Hey Jamie - you will have to join up 2013 dirty dozen

this is the thread / route they did recently - http://www.adelaidecyclists.com/events/adelaide-dirty-dozen

There are some killer short climbs perfect for you mate right at your door step

When is the next DD ride? Look like a great map. Id say you would be hard pressed to find a more killer loop close to CBD.

First Saturday in September! Route has been fine tuned so it is slightly shorter length, starts and finishes at the same point (red berry espresso) but a tough hill has been included in lieu of Horsnells Gully.

I have penciled in that date as long it doesn't clash with my road racing

Norton summit then Adelaide to Lobethal Rd to Lobethal then returning via Cudlee Creek and Gorge Rd. Gives the option of doing Corkscrew and Montacute Rd back to Norton Summit.
