Right, so after getting caught in the rain twice in as many rides, I thought it might be prudent to ask. Glasses on, or off? It seems to me that there is no winning - glasses on and they fog up and/or get covered in rain, glasses off and you get rain in your eyes! Either way, vision goes down.

Cycling cap in the rain always. When visibility gets poor I usually just put my sunnies on backwards.

Have never been a fan of sticking them in my helmet.

Yep. That's the flippant answer. Some frames, like Oakley jawbones have venting to help stop fogging up. Mine (not oakleys) are script lenses, so they stay on. I ride in the rain and manage. Don't know if there is an easy answer.

I wear prescription glasses, but take them off in the rain. Vision still OK.

The design of some helmets with visors keeps the rain off the glasses. Discovered with a new helmet that the visor is too high and does not keep the rain off.

@Sam...remember the vision for motorists also diminishes in the rain.....stay safe and be seen in the rain.....

I generally keep them on , but if they are fogging excessively ,they go into the jersey pocket and I start squinting .  ;~/

That seems to be the go, just wondering what others are doing, if anything helps!

You could always use these:

However, I have found that a peak fitted to my helmet helps a little to keep the rain off, but as for glasses, unless you have heaps of spare cash to spend on vented Jawbones, which i'm told do well, you will always be fighting a losing battle with fogging.

I wear prescription glasses, but when I fog too much, I have to do with out them. Are wear them backwards, hooked over my ears, resting on my neck...

Oh man, I've got to get me some of those!

+1

If it rains I head for the nearest coffee shop

That is the best idea I have read on here for ages!
