I want something fancy, so am selling my current bike to help pay for the new one.

it's a 2012 giant defy1, which i've added a few upgrades to. size is medium. suits about 170-179cm rider.(may need a 110mm stem if at the 179cm end)

here's the bike's website for full specs.

http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-au/bikes/model/defy.1/9675/50848/

i've added bracciano wheels, selle italia max slr gel flow saddle, ultegra cassette, 105 brakes, 105 pedals, 2 bottle cages and a rear led light.

it's in excellent condition still, only been ridden around 500-550kms. kept inside, not ridden in the wet.

i'm after $999, which is what i've spent just on the above accesories in the last 4mths!

Simon,

Consider keeping the wheels, I dont think you'll get a bike with as good a wheel as the Bracciano's unless you spend a crap load.

Or I can buy the Braccianos second hand , and you sell the bike with my RS-20's on it :)

I think the more important question is what are you upgrading to?

probably one of these 3. avanti quantum team, giant tcr sl, merida reacto 907/909

been doing some googling and they've all had pretty good reports. media and user based.

I'm riding the Reacto 907 and *loving it*. It was huge step up from my older alloy frame/105 combination.

Disclaimer: Merida don't exactly pay me to say things like that but I did get the bike for nix in a competition. I can't compare it with the others on your list but yep, I'm very happy. (You'd be welcome to try mine, but it is an XL frame..)

i found the bike i hope to buy. if it's still for sale on tuesday, i'll be putting a deposit down on a quantum team di2.

bloody good bike there mate. A mate of mine has the 08 Avanti QT with Ultegra and hasn't looked back. Got it for a song too at the time. Be sure to show us some pics.
