Permalink Reply by Scott Doherty on May 4, 2012 at 18:03 Did my hammy. Grade 2 tear. bruising and bleeding down the leg. Iced it for 48 hrs solid post injury (crucial).
Then hit it with the heat. Once bruising goes, get to the massage therapist for a deep tissue rub.
Some oils (can't remember) help a bucket load. Post bruising start gentle stretches. Your enemy is
scar tissue build up. Riding help keeps it moving. Always stretch after ride. Move it or lose it!
Don't participate in 'other sports'. Riding and running with no stretching = fail.
