I will be replacing my ride in the second half the year and am looking at Ti.

Van Nicholas Aquilo is top of the list for a out of the box Ti bike. Baum if I win the lottery.

I really like the look of that Yukon and yep Baum when I win the lottery

I got my Dean from a store up in Canberra and they do all sorts of build/brands etc. When trying to find them again I came across this. www.titaniumbikes.com.au and it seems they have all their prices online. www.titaniumbikes.net.au.

Chain reaction cycles are now selling Lynskey frames at pretty good prices. You should be able to get an entry level frame into Australia for under $2k delivered. My personal preference would be for a Litespeed T1 (Archon) but unfortunately the funds don't quite stretch that far at the moment...

There are a few Chinese companies and one Russia company that will do custom Ti frames for a lot less than you'd anticipate.

http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=64160&am... is a good write up of one, and http://www.bicycles.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=59797 is another.

It's not risk-free - you have to tell them exactly what you want. OTOH, prices start well under $1000 for a frameset (I've heard as low as $700) for the Chinese manufactures.

The Russian company (Triton) gives you a bit more support during the design, but costs a bit more too (still less than Western companies). Here's a thread about their TI MTB's (the do road bikes too): http://forums.mtbr.com/bike-frame-discussion/triton-bikes-titanium-...

But I still dream about Baum's and Firefly's
