New Logo
I've got three things coming. I'll expand on each of them as time goes on but the main one is to introduce the new Adelaide Cyclists logo. Thanks to the Three Blind Mice designers and sponsors that help me get some funds to work on this and some other up and coming things. Voila!
Not too much to say about it really except I'll integrate it into the site soon. I was thinking about a bit of a design overhaul but decided I need to work with some designers some more and not rush it. If it's not broke... 'n all that.
If you want to use the logo on your jersey, blog etc then drop me a line and I'll send a high rez version. It's also in 'mono' (while or black).
Winter kit
I'll give all the specs of this in a week or so when it's available to buy but I'll say they are all really great quality, fit, warm and at a really great price. The idea was to produce something simple that you can wear to extend the time those of you who have Adelaide Cyclists summer kit can wear it.
The jersey on left ($45 in post) is Thermo Roubaix fabric with 2 rear pockets, reflective stitching, printing and rear strip. The jacket ($75 post inc), also in red with black sides, is a windproof soft shell fabric with super roubaix inner sleeves and sides for venting. Two zippered inward angled rear pockets and reflective printing (on the black version). The warmers ($22 in post) are windcheating HeatPro fabric. More soon.
Community winter group ride series.
Over winter I am hosting a series of 6 monthly group rides while the calendar is a bit less busy ending before Amy's Ride. The dates are subject to possibly change but they will be:
20 May, 10 June, 8 July, 12 August, 16 Sept, 14 October
Mostly they will be on the flat meeting at Bocelli's in the city and picking up at Glenelg. Details to come but it'll just be a ride and coffee and a way to keep motivated in the cooler weather.
Thanks everyone for your great input lately. Here's to winter!

To be honest I looked at 1000s of logos and in the end I realised you just don't need to over-think it.
Permalink Reply by Matt "Boz" on April 16, 2012 at 14:12 I like it - simple and classy

Looks great - no worries with all black kit...well done

Jersey's are cool though :)
Permalink Reply by Juz on April 16, 2012 at 16:08 Bwahahaha! That's exactly what I thought when I first saw the logo (although I'm not sure I'd have articulated it quite so succinctly) but it's since grown on me :-)
I will miss the "I bike ADL" though.

And as for black (me likes) I've seen motorists drive straight at cyclists who were lit up like a Xmas-Tree and whilst prudent to be hi-vis is no surety of actually being seen... So I stick to my "invisible on the road" philosophy towards cycling amongst the traffic.

Love the logo. Reminds me a bit of the Velominati logo in its simplicity.
