A total of 7 rolled up at the appointed time and place on what was a fairly dank morning with drizzley rain . Fish rocked up sans bike as he had a sick family at home, the youngest of which REALLY wanted to come today! Maybe next time little Fish! Tony and his wife Julie, Steve and his wife Lynn as well as yours truly with young Beffy set off just about on time. This would prove to be the biggest distance for both Julie and Lynn and they were apprehensive enough about how they would go. Their first group ride proved a cinch for the pair of them, especially as there was no issues around speed and keeping up.
It rained for the first couple of kms, but this did not deter anyone, even Beth! Thankfully that was the only rain we were caught in and it ended up in full sunlight by the time we finished our return journey.
The only downer was the state of the detour around the new rail link under construction at Seaford Road, but we all negotiated this successfully.
There has been enough interest to put another event up for the 21st of April, starting in Willunga this time. I hope to see you there!
Cheers
