The LIVESTRONG Day Ride was a great success with over 300 riders taking part. Many of you have been asking when the video will be available.
I am pleased to say Michael Waxman has finished the editing and it is now on-line. Whether you did the ride or missed this years you may like to check it out.
ENJOY.. and THANK YOU to all who supported Cancer Voices SA, LIVESTRONG and made this a great event.

Permalink Reply by Ashleigh Moore on October 24, 2011 at 16:45 Thanks Jules. Yes it was a great ride with lots of familiar Adelaide and Hills cycling roads featured and some not so familiar as well. Feedback from those who participated was all very positive. With the limited promotion we still got 300 riders, The Premier and 3 World Champions involved. Pencil it in for next year. We also will be producing a longer version to include more riders and parts of the ride.
Great work on the video, also noticed myself in a little cameo appearance as we're walking off to set out on the ride (look for the retro-styled, stripey radioshack jersey)!
Permalink Reply by Patrick O'Kane on October 24, 2011 at 17:09 That is a great video of an awesome day. Looking at it objectively without the CVSA, Livestrong, taking part connection that would still be an awesome video that depicts what cycling is all about. It deserves a wider audience and more recognition, It is brilliant.
Permalink Reply by Ashleigh Moore on October 24, 2011 at 21:09 Thanks Pat and everyone, on the day we did get heaps of footage and hope to do a longer version that will show more riders and more of the scenery and routes. In designing the ride we tried to pick up on what most riders like, make it logistically feasible, safe and a challenge - hence loops, hills, one traffic light, wide bike lanes, etc... and we kept it FREE.. with everyone donating their time for the cause. In the mean time please do share the vid around.. it has been posted to our Texas friends. Cheers, Ashleigh
