Adelaide Cyclists

I would like to thank Angus and everyone from Adelaidecylists.com for the excellent day on Sunday. Although it was very warm and not really the ideal conditions for riding around an asphalt court we have never had so many polo participants and spectators. It was something new to have people cheering for sketchy maneuvers and goals. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and found a suitable patch of shade to keep out of the UVs.
If you would like to play polo keep an eye on the polo group on this website or www.bikepoloadelaide.blogspot.com to find out where our next games will be played.
See you at the next AC event
Cheers,
Neil.

Thank you Neil, Neil, Darren, Bonnie & Sascha from and others from Adelaide Bike Polo Club whose names I've forgotten for putting it on, especially in the heat. It was great fun and certainly an experience. I notice I am not in any of Jeremy's pictures which confirms I was a bit crap at it and should get amongst it some more. ... Next time I promise I'll bend some spokes and maybe even pop a tire!

I do totally recommend everyone get down there on a Sunday afternoon and check out the play. Also Neil told me they are entering a couple of Adelaide teams into the Nationals in Melbourne soon so keep watching for more on that.

Thanks Jeremy for posting the pictures.

As for meet-ups we'll get onto organising another one ASAP. Bike Polo is always welcoming but please send your suggestions for options and we'll try not to clash with big cycling events.

Some ideas being tossed about are to meet again at Bike Polo on a Sunday afternoon for a 'come and try day' - come and try polo, come and try a recumbent or cargo bike, family picnic, swap meet and other exhibitions of cycling ideas and gear.
