And Monday the 28th January will be the Australia Day Public Holiday - translation - recovery day :-)

Bugger! As a teacher, I won't be able to do the challenge on the Friday as it's a work day. Been lucky the last few years.

yeah likewise, bloody stupid !

Poor buggers, 12 weeks holidays, pupil free days, show days and you're still not happy. Lots of people have to miss the ride because of work commitments, some of us can do the ride but have to take a day off without pay.

hehe Don't start Pat :D

I'm not complaining at all. Got heaps of sick days up my sleeve....might take the whole week off!

aaaagghh. My pet hate. How do you know you are going to be sick next January Johnny? Or are these just de facto holidays paid for by your employer so you can ride your bike?

Don't worry, I'm sure they can find someone to cover for you while you ride your bike. Good to see my taxes put to such good use.

+1 - but then i decided to start my own business teaching ppl to ride bike = not being able to be involved as i'm so busy at that time of year! :D

Yippee can't wait already :-)

It's only one day fellas and there are plenty of other big rides to do..

Just booked into my calender for next year, I take a leave day to do the ride no need to lie about having a day off. I don't fraud my employer, You never know when you might need them

I`d better apply for my annual leave now
