Details about this years count are now posted on the Bicycle Institute of SA website. It is a great way to get involved in a bit of advocacy, donate a few hours of your time and in doing so donate $50 to your favorite Bicycle User Group or cycling organisation (BISA!!)
Be quick, spots are limited and I am told that it is "first in, best dressed" for the prime counting sites in and around the CBD. Register Now!!
I have also Registered for The Count. Thnx for drawing this to our attention, Jeremy. So on the day if you see a guy wearing the Orange 'T' shirt, at the end of the Veloway/South Rd/Marion Rd, give him a wave. That will be ME !
Cool, glad to see 3 counters thus far - was hoping for at least six (better register myself then!!)
Anyone else out there want to give it a crack?
Happy Cycling
I would, but I normally start work at 8:00am! If you get stuck, let me know, and I will see what I can do to get some time off work. I commute to Woodville from Parafield Gardens if there is a count location along that route?
No there is no Count close to your ride. Most Counters are based around the City perimeters.
Bit of a shame as I reckon that there would be heaps riding Parafield Gardens to Woodville !
I have registered to be at the intersection of Fitzroy Terrace & Braund Road, and nominated Prospect BUG to receive the $50 voucher. This new group has no membership fees. As coordinator and the main worker, my expenses to date are around $300, so it will be nice to be reimbursed something.
Thanks for registering to count next Tuesday, just got an email from Bicycle Victoria to say that all Adelaide count sites are now taken. Good luck on the day!
Well done to everyone who volunteered to count on Super Tuesday. While you are counting please add one for me. I'll be riding to work but won't be going anywhere near the city. My commute is long enough as it is without adding detours through the city to get counted.
I'll be two thirds of the way out to Edinburgh by the time you start counting at 7am. When you are rubbing the sleep out of your eyes tomorrow morning spare a thought for those of us who are already on our bikes.
Enjoy. Hope we get some good numbers and I look forward to hearing about it here in the following days.
