Hi,
I'm new to AC, does anyone know of any social groups that ride around the Golden Grove/Tea Tree Gully area on Sundays?
Cheers,
Gemma

I intend to be there, I'll be pretty easy to spot, I'm likely to be the only one there on a flat bar 7spd commuter while my Orbea Road bike is in the shop. Looking forward to the challenge:) thanks for organising:)

The ride looks good but have you thought of doing it the other was round in anti alockwise as this will reduce the number of right turns possibly making it flow better with the traffic

Just a thought

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. Yes, we will run the loop in the opposite direction on Sunday.

Gemma, you guys beat me to the post, I was just about to suggest the same - far less right hand turns that way.

Anyways,I thought along similar lines and came up with a similar ride that takes in Range Rd Nth,Seaview Rd and Yatala Vale Rd back to the start - its just a suggestion, don't want to take control over the great work you've done so far :)

Top loops, pretty much what I ride a bit.  I do Paracombe road as well to add a bit more distance.  Its fairly flat.

I greatfull to get suggestions for routes and will be relying on this as the weeks progress as I am not terribly familiar with how safe the local roads are for riding. I like this route that you suggest Bazz a bit better than mine, more through the hills less through the suburbs. I will change the route on the event page, this will be the last change I make before the ride on Sunday and other routes can be for following weeks. Good work!

Yes, I agree, always better to avoid the suburbs if possible and left turns also the way to go. Sounds good so far, I like the team work :)

+1, the team work on this has been great and hope its a sign of good things to come. If we continue this way we can establish a great cycling community in the NE burbs!

+1, well done and i hope to be there on the 1st Ride.
GW are an awsome group to ride with but, with work it just makes it had. But as for a sunday i'm more than happy to get out. Always better with a group than yourself.

On possibility later on -- Once up ansteys hill go on through past the Golf Course and down into Inglewood and back through Houghton then back up Range Roads Sth and Nth. Great little 20km loop if i remember. Done it once but havent had a chance to get back.

Thanks,if you haven't done Range Rd its a great ride(in either direction),cheers.
