hey guys, my bike has been stolen from Grote street (infront of central markets, near the Coles) tonight between the hours of 18:00 and 12:00.
It's the bike in my picture
Black Aerospoke wheels front and back
If anyone sees this bike please call the police.
I'm really upset as you could imagine
SAPOL are now on Facebook to encourage the public to give them leads to solve crimes. Jon, why did the police fail to act on the good intelligence you gave them?

The Roy Morgan Image of Professionals Survey 2012 reveals that South Australia police rank the highest of all jurisdictions in the country for our ethical approach, honesty and professionalism.
The survey, which has just been released, lists police generally at 8 out of 30 in terms of the most highly regarded professions – with a national score of 69%. However, SAPOL was singled out as being "very highly rated" with a score of 84%.
This survey supports the annual Community Confidence survey which has seen SAPOL rank first in the country seven times in a decade.
"This latest poll is outstanding news for SAPOL," Commissioner Mal Hyde said.

I see that the ad on gumtree has now been "pulled". I wonder why..............
At least you still can see "seller other items" and get his/her contact number to track it down.
Wait a sec, it is up again but i think it is slightly different frame since there is no "garmin" sticker on top bar and the bar tape is different color regardless the wheels are same.
Dario, Carl, it's not even the same size frame. It's clearly a different bike. There are heaps of aerospoke wheels out there and they haven't changed in 20 years. Barking. Up. Wrong. Tree.
Another bike theft case again. =_=;
I feel sorry for you mate.
But please don't tell me that you leave your bike for 6 hours with that cable locks in picture.
Cable lock is the second worst bike lock after chains and padlock.
You can break cable lock in seconds only with bolt cutter, at least a decent D-lock still need a electric grinder to be broke.
The lock should be at least 1/15th the price of the bike.
It wasn't the lock pictured.
that ad has already been discussed earlier in the thread, it was advertised before my bike was stolen.
from doing some "research" in the neighbourhood, the bloke has moved house, his phone has been disconnected. i only ever had his first name.
the police however know his full name, car registration details, (they looked up the rego on the cars in his drive way) after they went there. they never spoke to him though.
if i knew his address now i'd probably pay him a visit since i know the cops aren't going to do anything, originally i backed off because i was 90% sure they'd catch him.
If the police went to the thief's house, why didn't they take it further? Was the thief out that day and police did not call again?
Have you considered writing to the Police Complaints Authority?
