Adelaide Cyclists very own Steven Ellison is currently sitting 3rd overall in the challenge and 2nd in Australia with 25% of the total distance completed. Fantastic work Steven, keep it up! All fellow ACers lets give him some hometown support.
I'm just bloody jealous he's got so much time to ride!!! Little tough to squeeze those sorts of distances in around a 9-5!
well you could a;ways start at 4.30am like Steven does, and then 9-5.
Without a reason, why would you want to ride in the rain? I'm just trying to complete this on my 1 year anniversary of riding ! That's by the 11th of August!
Its only approx 55k per day. Thats an hour each way easy commute at talking pace on a roadie.
Ive riden 1248km in a smidge past 2 days.
1788 in 31 will give decent fitness but its a totally realistic time for the average 9-5er as well. Good work for Steve for not making any excuses and getting out there. :)
Thanks Torsten for you support. Just a word of warning, the leaderboard appears to have some issues so I don't really know where I stand. Currently, the gentlemen at the top Trent Morey, tells me he has only ridden half the distance displayed ! Some error with duplication of uploading his three rides. My own is short a 112 km ride from yesterday with my profile telling me I have done 567km not the 455 shown. There are others that may be better placed but are not showing due to other errors.
I am sure we will know better when the system is sorted out ;-)
Regardless, thanks for your support.
Yes I am very confident that Steve will complete the challenge, and yes very jealous. However I have no desire to get up at 4am every day.
Keep going Steve!
Steve will smash it just like he did with the climbing challenge, but getting up 4:30 am required serious BALLS
Thats funny Rob, are balls the name for those other things most people say I have, rocks in the head LOL
