I would like to suggest on behalf of those who have had racing results thrust upon them by discussion titles on the main page, that we adopt a standard format for thread titles.

If the thread contains race results, can we please format the title thus: "*spoilers* Dauphine results" for example.

This will save unwanted angst for those who don't want to know until they watch the race, and negate the angry rebuttals from those whose fun was spoiled.

This is a standard procedure on other (motorcycle) race fora which I frequent.

Thanks

I wouldn't post race results in the title of a thread , but I also don't think we should be making rules , or censoring peoples comments or thoughts on a public forum .

I made no mention of rules or censorship. Just a voluntary level of respect which costs zilch and is worth plenty.

I have taken your suggested voluntary level of respect, and its value, into serious consideration .

Damned internet won't reveal whether you are taking the piss or not, but either way I smiled.

Black Caviar will win... again and again and again and again...

Did you check out the horses new lycra suit on today's TV news?

Wow!  A horse in lycra!  gotta see that...

does she ride a Trek?

Of course not she's a winner ............... only jokin.

I am finally in the process of watching stage 21 of the Giro, if sbs keeps broadcasting cycling I will be a few years behind before I know it.  I can see the value of a spoiler alert but also the excitement of the win shouldnt be bridled.

Wow this topic has stirred up more contention than I expected.
