So, my wife was getting her nails done by her friend the other day -- a beautician with a salon around the corner from our place in Gawler East.  Knowing I shaved my legs for cycling, she offered to wax them.  Ow.  But she did a great job and she told me that $25 is basically cost-price for men because of the amount of wax required.

When I had wiped the tears from my eyes, I suggested she offer that price for other Gawler Wheelers and Adelaide Cyclists members.

So here's the offer:

$25 for full leg waxing (men, 2 legs)
$15 for half-leg waxing
$20 for full arm waxing
25% discount for first visit
50% off at the 5th treatment + FREE at the 10th treatment.

GAWLER WHEELERS OFFICIAL WAXING SERVICE

On Friday 08-June-2012 I made use of the waxing service provided by the Gawler Wheelers Official Waxer ➨ Beauty on Calton

I can report that I was very happy with the service provided and would highly recommend this business to anyone wishing to 'look more Pro'.

I had made the waxing appointment earlier in the week by email and received a prompt reply confirming my allotted time. About an hour before my appointment was due, I also received a reminder SMS.

Beauty on Calton is a home based beauty salon but once you are inside the premises, it is a very professional looking setup and spotlessly clean.

Paula, the proprietor, is very efficient and friendly and within 35 minutes I had my half legs and full arms waxed, with no residual waxing compound evident. Total cost was $35.00.

It is a cash based business (i.e. no EFTPOS) but the pricelist is very competitive when compared to other beauty salons in the Gawler area, such as Essential Beauty.

So, if you have ever wanted to get your legs or arms waxed, then take the plunge and make an appointment. Just remember - some cyclists shave their legs but real cyclists wax !

Did it hurt ? Well being a man, pain is my co-pilot anyway, so not a problem !
