I guess the same could be said for team kit although that doesnt assume individual hard work, effort and achievment etc.
Funny story, a mate of mine was following some "tosser" up Greenhill road a few years ago in the World Champs kit, was going to say something tongue in cheek to him when he caught up, turned out it was actually Cadel

It doesnt really matter IMHO. Your promoting cycling. Its like riding a team bike you bought. Who cares really. Just get out and ride. Too many roadies care about exact sock height and bar tape width diameter.
Cycling etiquette that matters.
1. Avoid half wheeling.
2. Roll over easy vs being a sergio.
3. First rider over the climb goes back down for the last rider.
4. If your riding with less fit people, make the ride easy enough that they will want to come back.
5. If a noob drops off your wheel, slow up and hold an even pace so they dont get dropped again.
I dont care what jersey, groupset or bike you ride. As long as your out there, thats all that matters.

With the 3rd highest electricity prices in the world, and soon to be the dearest. Interest rates that are too high, ridiculous petrol prices, enormous slumps in the building, manufacturing and retail sectors, an absolute useless Government, appalling roads, more and more AUSTRALIAN brands and companies being closed down or shipped overseas to sweatshops because of piss weak tariff protection from our useless Government again, and all people are whining about is Replica Jerseys. You stuck up toffs need to wake up and realise that if the so called tossers didnt support this sport by purchasing this gear, and attending racing and spending their hard earnt money to support YOU, the sport would not be growing as fast as it is. Suck it up and be proud of the fact that people actually give a shit about you and what you do before they all head back to mainstream sport like footy and cricket.
