Just a word of warning. I saw 5 snakes on the roads in the hills on Friday. Four dead and one looking dead until he/she sensed me coming, fortunately no traffic at that point and I was able to take avoiding action. Also saw signs at the Silkes road crossing of the Torrens advising that a snake had been seen recently.

Definately gone off the Foodland Brand but usually buy which ever are on special.

I'd rather come across a snake than what happened to this guy I think..

Makes magpie attacks look pretty tame too..

lol saw that this morning! good cameraman!

I just about ran over a snake on the way home yesterday afternoon. On the Torrens Linear Park, south side of river, just east of Stephens Terrace. I thought it was a branch to start with and was just about to ride around it. Thankfully it moved off in the other direction away from my wheel. I've ridden along that track for a few years but it's the first time I've seen a snake. I'm not sure if it was sunning itself on the track or was just crossing over. Of course after that, every branch I saw looked like a snake.

Saw a skittled red-belly black snake yesterday - Wicks Rd just off Peters Creek Rd from memory, somewhere down south anyway.  A very much alive brown snake crossing Aldgate Valley Rd today.

No not Aldgate Valley Rd!

It's funny reading this warning from Clive. He posted this one year ago almost to the day. After magpies come snakes.

saw a snake near Stephens Tce St Peters this afternoon on the bike track.

Just got back from Pt Lincoln today, and there were quite a few dead ones along the way. Something to look forward too...im riding to Pt Lincoln in a couple of weeks.

I actually keep a crepe bandage in my saddle bag ...just in case
