From next week and until some time towards the end of November, 2012. the Seacombe Road bridge (crossing the Southern Express way including the Veloway) will be closed to vehicle, pedestrian and cycle traffic while road and bridge construction works take place. Other bridges which cross the Expressway will also be closed (O'Sullivan rd and Elizabeth Rd).  I know that a lot of riders use Seacombe Rd so it will effect a good number of riders for this period. It is not too bad if you are riding from the West as you can detour via May St (just past Seaview High school and then right turn down Sturt Rd. If you are riding up South Rd and intend to turn right into Seacomb you will be unable to. A box turn at Marion Rd is advised because you will have a lengthy ride up South Rd and then back down again to Marion Rd.  The Veloway will remain open with some short term closures at the Seacombe Rd bridge at times. Signs will be erected on the Veloway when this occurs.  Good Luck.
