Yer David they were great. Especially light for working..

I am a roofer by trade, dunnies( Dunlop volleys) are soft and very grippy on tin roofs, they now also come in steel cap version!

i know a painter who used to swear by them and a guy who does video work who likes the velcro ones because they dont snag on cables.

I've seen similar sneakers with the steel caps somewhere, maybe in a catalogue for the safety shop.  they seem to be what guys laying pavers wear.

Doesn't look like a fixie to me, looks like it's got a freewheel...

It's doesn't say it's a fixie, it says it is a 'preset'. RD6 should be done for false advertising!

@ alasdair your correct i was looking at them today in big w at noarlunga and there a freewheel not a fixie.

ah really, I just assumed being single speed = fixie

Back in the old days (60s) as a kid I had single speed with a built in freewheel.  Only my poorer friends had the fixies and had to put their feet up on the handlebars when we went downhill :-) .

@ rob they have them at noarlunga bw and there a free wheel not a fixie.

Based on my experience with cheap chinese bearings in cheap chinese bicycles, just ride it for a couple of weeks and it'll turn into a fixie (or a brokenie).

lol

bingo :P
