Ride of Silence and BISA AGM 2010 - thanks!
Just a quick one to say thanks to all those who came to the Ride of Silence this morning, it was a beautiful morning for a short loop of the city, great to see such a diverse range of bicycles and cyclists in attendance! Also, a thank you to those who came for lunch and helped with the pile of sausages that we had to eat! In addition, thank you to all those who also came for the BISA AGM, it was a good attendance with a really energetic and engaging speech by Adelaide City Councilor Stephen Yarwood followed by equally energetic debate and discussion as to the future direction of BISA. Special thanks to those who are coming on-board as committee memebers this year, Bonnie, Sophia, Olly, Luke and Angus - really glad to have you on board! Excited by the prospects for 2010 - 2011!!

I didn't attend the meeting but I thinks thanks are in order for BISA for organising a great ride, and a good feed afterwards. A nice touch catering for the vegies too, my g/f is vegetarian so I tend to notice these things. Well done.

Agree with Patrick, thanks guys for organising the ride and the eats, great work. Enjoyed Stephens presentation too, sorry I couldn't stay for the AGM part, other pressing matters.
Big thanks to SAPOL to for the awesome job they did again of keeping us safe, and providing us with clear lanes and green lights!

I'd like to reinforce Mark's thanks to SAPOL. As a new BISA committee member with no experience in organising big group rides I volunteered to liaise with SAPOL for the Ride of Silence with some trepidation. Due to their professionalism organising the police escort for the ride was simple and painless. I made one phone call and sent two e-mails. They arrived early and made sure we had a safe and controlled ride. You can't ask for more than that.
