Who are riding RLC this Sunday? The weather is looking perfect - 29c and clear but with a cool start.

I was refreshing myself with the ride info and route and see that the sign-on is from 05.30am for a 0645am group photo and briefing and all riders need to sign and hand over an indemnity form to get a wristband.

The form is available from their website here. If you are like me it's best to print and sign now and put with your kit so it's not forgotten.

There is still time to sign up for the ride as well. All the money goes to charity.

There is an event posting on AC so if you RSVP to that we can see who else is riding.

Well, that was fun.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first RLC.  A lot of new ground that I've not cycled before.   Very scenic...loved the downhill between Uraidla and Balhannah.  My first ride down Gorge road was a blast too!!    Felt flat coming into to Lobethal ...refuelled on plenty of snakes and then got my second wind powering up the Cudlee Creek Road.  Got home and the GPS had mucked up over that complete stretch so missed out on seeing what time I did. :(    Guess I'll have to do this ride again sometime soon.

Extremely well organised ride and for a great cause.  Will def be back for next year.

Said gday to Patrick at the end and saw RD6 who was in deep conversation and I think was perhaps drooling over a Colnago, so I didn't say hi Rob ;)

Now enjoying a cold beer and contemplating taking my son in for tonights race in the city.  :)

Rich

I feel your pain Rich - unfortunately the speed sensor on my Garmin was playing up merry hell on the stretch from Crafers to Uraidla, so I don't have any accurate data of my performance today. Heavy bummer!

Having said that, I question my wisdom in riding to and fro The Big Red Ride yesterday and then smashing myself trying to keep up with Stuey, Luke and Leigh! LOL

A big thank you to Trevor (CVSA rider) who sat with me for over half an hour on a guard rail waiting for help after my rear derailleur cable snapped.

Nice one Trevor. I rode with a CVSA rider (still can't remember his name let's call him Mr Hammer) he'll know who I mean. Never met him before but had a great ride with him, lots of new (to me) CVSA riders and they all said G'Day. Was a very good day on the bike today.

Yes big Kudos to Trevor.   Did the JT guys come and fix your cable Gillian?

@Richard, As I understand it the sag wagon delivered bike and Gillian to the mechanic, mechanic replaced cable free of charge then sag wagon delivered Gillian to Lobethal as she was so far behind me she was crying, even then she still came in after me which leads me to suspect that she was enjoying the downhills far to  much as per disscusion in Cudlee Creek last Tuesday.

Yep, I went back up for "multiples"!

Sensational day - my 1st RLC and gets my "two thumbs up" and highlights was screaming down Gorge Road passing GreenEdge teams both mens and womens as they were climbing up

And how good was the weather. Cool, sunny and not too windy after Crafers.

Well organised, plenty of food (maybe a few portaloos would be good). A++

I came down the hill from Stirling around 5.30am and it was alot worse then.

Todays RLC was a good day out, enjoyed it more than last years (improved fitness helps and didn't suffer as mch, even my after ride photo reflects less pain than last years!)

From the surveys at the end looks like we may have a different route next year?
