Request for a new feature
a poll feature would be a nice option. highlighted by the recent 'poll' threads. people can have a discussion but its a bit hard to get an idea of what the community consensus is without a little graphic under the original post

Yep, it's a great idea and one I have been toying with for a while. I have a few options on how to do it. I was thinking a weekly poll running from Monday to Sunday. I would try to have all the old polls running down the page so they can be archived and retrieved.
What would you like the first question to be? It would work best with a Yes/No or A,B,C,D multiple choice answer.

i was talking about maybe adding it as an option for each discussion, so that users can make their own polls.
a weeklong webside wide poll would also be quite cool

I could do that but it would be a sort of manual thing on a case by case basis. So by no means a no but maybe a hot discussion this week might be best suited to the poll of next week.

I have seen other sites with a multiple options that can be determined by the person creating the poll.
Many questions are better answered by other than a yes answer no
for instance
How many Km would you ride in a week?
0-50
50-100
100-150
150-200
over 250
would give a mor3 meaningful answer than
Do you ride more than 250 Km per week?
With a yes or now answer.
