After taking a fall  yesterday and nursing a possible fracture in shoulder (waiting to seek medical attention - FMC said 5 hr waiting period , so docs tomorrow).      I have minor scratching damage to bike, more the lacquer coating taken off. what do others use to repair, e.g nail pollish or is there specific lacquer one can buy ??

I use clear nail polish but a lacquer that matches your frames colour would be more asthetic... Hope the shoulder is ok.

sorry to hear about the fall Brett...wishing you a speedy recovery.

Carbon(plastic) needs thorough inspection and perhaps is a basket case after a fall!

Check ur insurance and be safe not sorry IMHO!

very  very light scratch on fork, gear lever & rear derailer, understand where your coming from frank, but i wore the brunt of the fall trying to protect the bike.

Rightly so! Lol

I hear, get it checked out!

Transfer of energy on impacts can show in strangest places, sometimes on opposite side of impact!

In regards to painting or refinishing, u know any sign writers, they have small spray guns etc. try a model plane enthusiast, they are often fiberglass now and someone may have suitable touch up or respray gear.
Don't use nail polish. Its not designed for the job, it discolours and breaks down. According to Australian MTB mag, there is a guy in Melbourne who repairs carbon frames successfully. Hope the shoulder is OK.
